Knorr Bremse plant

Knorr-Bremse’s Hungarian subsidiary built its second brake manufacturing facility for road vehicles in Kecskemét, following the establishment of its first factory in Budapest.

The company realized the project as a greenfield investment, relocating its former production unit that had operated from a leased site in Kecskemét. In addition to the manufacturing hall, a test facility was also constructed, designed to accommodate more than 200 development engineers — making it one of the early examples of leveraging innovation and R&D capacities in Hungary.

Our project management and technical supervision services were delivered at a dynamic pace, driven by tight deadlines and the requirements of EU funding. To meet the funding-related time constraints, the 24,000 m² production hall and the 6,000 m² testing facility were completed in just 9 months.
