Professional Study Visit in Copenhagen
Our engineering team spent five days in Copenhagen to see first-hand how sustainability is practiced where it isn’t a separate chapter but part of everyday thinking. We visited six companies and one university. In addition to the professional program, we toured several office buildings and laboratories. Everywhere we were received openly and warmly, and people spoke naturally about how they approach sustainability from the earliest design stages. It was encouraging to see how important the topic is to them and how effortlessly they apply it in both their work and daily life—giving us a fresh perspective as well.
We focused on two main themes:
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment): We reviewed which regulations apply in Denmark, what building-material approaches are used to support environmental responsibility, and how materials and buildings are reused.
CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage): We gained a comprehensive picture of potential applications, future prospects, benefits and risks of CO₂ capture and storage.
We were fortunate to enjoy wonderful, sunny autumn weather in Copenhagen, which gave us the chance to explore the city after the professional program. Beyond the many beautiful buildings and the city’s dynamic yet calm rhythm, people’s kindness and openness were also a highlight.
International study trips help us stay current and work with up-to-date, cutting-edge knowledge—so we can meet our clients’ needs at the highest possible standard.
